Zahab was born in 1946, on a remote Maldivian island untouched by electricity or modern comforts.
Her world was lit by lanterns, and her kitchen — by firewood.
From a young age, she followed her grandmother, the head chef in the palace of the Sultan of Maldives.
There, in the King’s kitchen, she watched secrets unfold: the slow roast of spice, the art of balance, the reverence of food.
Today, Zahab Foods carries this royal culinary legacy forward — firewood-roasted spices, handmade snacks, and responsibly sourced fish from the pristine seas of the Maldives.
